We are seeking an experienced Mushroom Plant Operator to manage our fully automated, climate-controlled AC button mushroom facility in Bengaluru. The candidate must have hands-on, practical experience managing the entire timeline of button mushroom cultivation—strictly from Phase-I composting to final flush harvesting.
Key Responsibilities
- Composting & Pasteurisation: Oversee mixing, turnings, and pasteurisation temperature peaks.
- Spawning & Casing: Ensure sterile spawn run management and accurate casing layer application.
- HVAC & Climate Monitoring: Program Air Handling Units (AHUs)
to sustain correct temperatures (22–24°C spawn run; 14–18°C pinning/cropping).
- Gas & Humidity Control: Regulate fresh air cycles to flush out carbon dioxide (CO₂) while locking room humidity at 85-90%.
- Flushing & Harvesting: Coordinate delicate daily pinhead picking, grading, and packaging.
- Biosecurity: Maintain strict indoor sanitation to prevent Trichoderma (green mold) or wet bubble outbreaks.
Requirements
- Prior working experience inside a commercial AC indoor mushroom plant.
- Complete understanding of indoor climate control shifts (e.g., thermal shocking for pinhead initiation).
- Ready to relocate to the Bengaluru plant site immediately.
