Role Overview The MIS Executive is responsible for managing, analyzing, and reporting data related to placements and the Summer Internship Program (SIP). This role ensures accurate data management, generates insights for decision-making, and supports the placements team with timely and reliable reports.

Responsibilities

1. Data Management & Maintenance

- Maintain and update student databases (profiles, academic records, skills, preferences)
- Manage recruiter and company databases.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality of data.
- Regularly clean and validate datasets.

2. Placement & IIP Data Tracking

- Track student participation in SIP and final placements.
- Monitor offer status, selection ratios, salaries, and job roles.
- Maintain records of internship allocations, company feedback, and completion status.

3. Reporting & Analytics

- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Prepare dashboards on key metrics (placement %, average salary, recruiter count, etc.)
- Analyse trends and provide actionable insights to the placement team.
- Support accreditation and ranking data requirements

4. Automation & Systems

- Develop and manage MIS tools using Excel, CRM systems, or ERP platforms.
- Automate repetitive reports and workflows.
- Work with IT teams to improve data systems and reporting processes.

5. Coordination & Support





- Work closely with placement managers for data requirements.
- Support pre-placement and post-placement documentation.
- Assist in audit processes and compliance reporting.

Key Skills & Competencies:
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Macros preferred)
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Familiarity with MIS tools, CRM, or ERP systems
- Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI / Tableau is a plus)
- Valuable communication and coordination skills

Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Commerce , Management, IT, or related field
- 1 - 4 years of experience in MIS, data analysis, or reporting roles
- Experience in academic institutions / placement cells is an advantage

- Accuracy and timeliness of reports
- Data completeness and error rates
- Efficiency in report generation and automation
- Quality of insights provided to stakeholders
