Role Description The MEP Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode, responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems for NURA’s healthcare facilities. Daily tasks include coordinating MEP layouts with architectural and structural designs, preparing technical drawings and specifications, and ensuring systems meet safety, regulatory, and healthcare-specific standards. The role involves reviewing vendor proposals, supervising installation and commissioning of building services,
and conducting inspections to verify performance and compliance.
The MEP Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, and clinical teams to support reliable, effective, and patient-safe building operations. The position also requires proactive problem-solving, documentation of project progress, and participation in continuous improvement of facility infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with relevant experience in MEP projects.
- Strong expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and MEP coordination within healthcare or commercial building projects.
- Coordinate and supervise MEP works at the site.
Review MEP drawings, layouts, and technical specifications. Coordinate with civil, architectural, and other engineering teams.
- Monitor installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems.
- Ensure work is completed as per approved drawings, quality standards, and timelines.
- Prepare BOQ, material requirements, and assist with cost estimation.
Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety and building standards.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors.
- Maintain project documentation and progress reports.
