Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Coder role based in Chennai.

The Medical

Coder will review clinical documentation, assign appropriate medical codes, and ensure accurate and compliant coding for diagnoses, procedures, and services. Daily responsibilities include validating codes against payer and regulatory guidelines, supporting revenue cycle processes, and collaborating with clinical and billing teams to resolve discrepancies.



The role also involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and contributing to continuous improvement in coding accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong medical coding skills with hands-on Coding Experience and proficiency in Medical Coding standards and guidelines.
- Solid understanding of Health Information Management practices and Medical Terminology to interpret clinical documentation accurately.
- Relevant credential such as RHIT or equivalent certification in health information or coding is preferred.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work with large volumes of clinical and billing data.
- Familiarity with RCM processes, EHR systems, and payer rules is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related healthcare discipline is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in office in Chennai, meet productivity and quality targets, and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
