Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer Intern will support the engineering team in designing mechanical systems and components for mission-critical facilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with CAD modeling, creating detailed drawings, supporting product and machine design activities, and participating in design reviews.

The intern will collaborate with senior engineers to analyze performance, optimize designs for manufacturability and reliability,



and incorporate feedback from construction and operations teams. Additional tasks may include basic calculations, documentation, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

- Strong foundational knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and basic engineering principles.
- Skills in Design Engineering and Machine Design, with the ability to support component and system-level design.
- Experience or coursework in Product Design, focusing on practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Ability to read technical drawings, perform basic calculations, and follow industry standards and guidelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with willingness to learn in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
- Interest in industrial facilities, refrigeration systems, and energy-efficient engineering solutions is an advantage.
