Role Description The Mechanical Design Engineer will work on the design, development, and improvement of dairy and food processing machinery, ensuring performance, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and updating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings, performing design calculations, selecting components and materials, and collaborating with production, quality, and service teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues.



The role involves supporting prototyping and testing, incorporating feedback from customers and internal stakeholders, and continuously optimizing existing product designs for reliability and cost-effectiveness.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai, requiring close coordination with shop-floor teams and cross-functional colleagues.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical exposure to Design Engineering and Machine Design.
- Proficiency in Product Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and specifications, and apply GD&T; where required.
- Experience or strong interest in machinery for process industries, preferably dairy, food, or packaging.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.
- Effective problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; prior internship or industry experience in machine or product design is an advantage.
- Willingness to learn, adapt to new technologies, and contribute to continuous product and process improvement.
