Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Intern to work on mechanical design, prototyping, and product development for OralVis's internal healthcare and medical device projects.

OralVis is a healthcare technology startup incubated at IIT Hyderabad, developing cutting-edge solutions for oral healthcare and diagnostics. Our work combines medical devices, imaging, AI, software, and engineering to build accessible and technology-driven healthcare solutions.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in mechanical design and analysis.
- Proficiency in Design Engineering and Machine Design, including component selection, tolerance analysis, and mechanisms.
- Hands-on experience in Product Design for medical or consumer devices, focusing on usability, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks,



CATIA, Creo, or similar) for 3D modeling and detailed drafting.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Experience with prototyping, testing, and design validation; familiarity with DFM/DFA principles.
- Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad.
- Exposure to medical devices, precision mechanisms, or imaging equipment and knowledge of relevant standards is an advantage.
- Candidates with prior experience or academic projects involving both mechanical design and electronics/electromechanical systems will be preferred.
