Job Summary:
A detail-oriented and experienced Software Asset Management (SAM) Analyst with 34 years of hands-on experience in managing software assets using Flexera One or SNOW Software. The ideal candidate will be certified in either tool and possess robust expertise in software licensing, compliance, discovery and troubleshooting and Effective License Position (ELP) report creation
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize software assets using Flexera One or SNOW Software platforms.
- Perform Flexera discovery and troubleshooting to ensure accurate inventory and data integrity
- Create and maintain Effective License Position (ELP) reports to ensure compliance and cost optimization.
- Analyse software usage data and license entitlements to identify gaps and opportunities.
- Collaborate with procurement, IT, and legal teams to support software audits and renewals.
- Maintain accurate records of software licenses, contracts, and entitlements.
- Provide insights and recommendations for license optimization and risk mitigation.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and reports.
- Stay updated on software licensing models and vendor-specific compliance requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT Asset Management.
- Certification in Flexera One or SNOW Software is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience with Flexera discovery, troubleshooting, and data validation.
- Strong understanding of software licensing models (e.g., Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe).
- Proven experience in creating and interpreting ELP reports.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes is a plus.
