Role Description

1. The Manager Production and Operations is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Coimbatore Area. This role oversees end-to-end production activities for coir substrates, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring daily manufacturing operations to meet quality, safety, and output targets.
2. The manager coordinates with procurement, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure adequate raw materials, smooth equipment functioning, and adherence to product specifications.
3. Responsibilities include optimizing production processes, monitoring resource utilization, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards. The role also involves leading and developing production teams, preparing operational reports, managing budgets, and supporting strategic decisions that enhance efficiency and sustainability.

Qualifications

- Experience in production and operations management, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation in a manufacturing or process industry environment.
- Knowledge of process optimization,



continuous improvement methodologies (such as Lean or Kaizen), and basic data analysis for performance monitoring.
- Understanding of quality management systems, safety standards, and environmental compliance relevant to industrial or agricultural manufacturing.
- People management skills, including team leadership, performance management, training, and fostering a collaborative work culture.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Production Management, Operations, Industrial Management, or a related field; a relevant postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Experience in the coir, substrates, agriculture, or related processing industries is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Coimbatore Area and manage operational demands in a fast-paced, growth-oriented workplace.
