Position Title - Manager - IT

Department - Information Technology

Location - Mumbai, India (Head Office, with multi-store oversight)

Reports To - Senior Management

Role Summary :

Owns the end-to-end IT function for a Multi-Location Retail Business, ensuring Technology remains secure, available, and scalable. The role combines strategic IT planning with hands-on operational ownership across Infrastructure, Cloud, ERP, Retail systems, Connectivity, Cybersecurity, User support, Procurement, and Vendor Management.

Key Responsibilities :

IT Strategy & Leadership

- Develop and execute the IT roadmap in line with business growth and retail expansion.
- Lead day-to-day IT operations and ensure timely resolution of business-critical incidents.
- Manage and mentor IT personnel, service providers, and technology partners.
- Prepare technology budgets, procurement proposals, and lifecycle/replacement plans.
- Maintain appropriate IT governance, compliance, and risk management.

Infrastructure & Cloud

- Own server, storage, virtualization, backup, and core infrastructure operations across Head Office and stores.
- Administer cloud infrastructure and services, including Microsoft Azure.
- Ensure monitoring, backup, restore, and disaster-recovery readiness.

ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O; / NAV) Optional

- Administer and support Dynamics 365 F&O; as the core enterprise application, including licensing, security roles, and access.
- Coordinate with Microsoft/implementation partners on incidents, integrations, and environment issues.




- Support legacy/related ERP environments such as Dynamics NAV hosted on Azure/Citrix.

Retail IT & Store Technology

- Support POS/Retail applications, Store connectivity, and Store hardware.
- Coordinate New-Store IT readiness, technology rollouts, and store openings/relocations.
- Coordinate Store-specific requirements with vendors.

Network, Connectivity & Security

- Manage enterprise connectivity VPN, MPLS, and static links between Head Office and stores.
- Administer firewall and network security infrastructure (Fortinet, Sophos).
- Manage endpoint protection and antivirus controls, including Sophos Intercept X.
- Maintain secure remote access and appropriate network segmentation/access controls.
- Monitor security incidents, vulnerabilities, and access risks, and coordinate patching and remediation.

Microsoft 365, Identity & Physical Security

- Administer Microsoft 365, email security (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), and collaboration services.
- Manage user provisioning, access, mailbox issues, and collaboration-service support.
- Coordinate biometric access-control, HRMS technology, and AI-enabled CCTV/surveillance systems.

Vendor & Procurement Management

- Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, cloud, and security solutions.
- Manage IT vendors and AMC/service providers, and support commercial negotiations.




- Obtain and compare quotations and validate technical specifications.
- Track renewals, warranties, support contracts, licences, and technology subscriptions.
- Ensure procurement decisions balance reliability, security, scalability, supportability, and cost.

Expected Knowledge / Exposure : Cloud - Microsoft Azure; Cloud-hosted business applications; capacity, access, monitoring and support coordination

Microsoft Ecosystem - Microsoft 365, Exchange/Email, identity/access concepts, security and collaboration services

Networking - LAN/WAN, VPN, MPLS, static connectivity, routing/switching fundamentals, troubleshooting

Cybersecurity - Firewalls, Endpoint protection, Access control, email security, vulnerability/patch management and security governance

Security Platforms - Fortinet and/or Sophos Firewall/Security technologies; Sophos endpoint security exposure

Retail Technology - POS/store systems, Store IT readiness, Peripherals, Retail connectivity and multi-location support

Infrastructure - Servers, storage, backup, virtualization, data-centre operations and disaster recovery

Physical Security / HR Tech - AI CCTV, Biometric systems, Access control and HRMS technology coordination

Telephony - EPABX, PRI and Telecom service management

IT Management - Vendor management, procurement, budgeting, renewals, project management, documentation and team leadership

Preferred candidate profile

- Must be a Graduate with working experience into managing IT Function
- Must possess robust communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to explain technical issues in business terms
- Candidate from MUMBAI need only apply
