Position Overview:

This position involves managing daily manufacturing processes, delivering quality products, overseeing raw material procurement, and collaborating with maintenance and engineering teams. Responsibilities include management fermentation, upstream, downstream, extraction, purification and finished products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manage the daily activities of the upstream and downstream manufacturing process
2. Support executive management in staffing and budgeting for manufacturing operations
3. Deliver product that meets quality and production standards on time and within budget
4. Coordination with cross-functional teams
5. Effectively communicate production needs and/or issues with executive management
6. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to address any equipment related issues
7. Ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements
8. Ensure all production processes stay compliant with current regulatory expectations
9. Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality
10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including the implementation of new technologies and process optimization
11. Provide strong leadership to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
12. Operating the fermentation, upstream, downstream, extraction, purification and auxiliary equipment, etc.
13. Media optimization, parameter optimization, strategy modification based on the strain performance
14.



Handle the batches and completely responsible for success of the batches
15. Duties and responsibilities are not limited to the work listed above and may include other assignments as necessary

Qualifications/Competencies/Position Requirements:

- Minimum of 5 year’s experience in a leadership role preferably in the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical industry
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, with good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work on shift basis including nights as required.

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology
- 5 yrs experience in nutraceutical / pharmaceutical industry

Travel:

- Ability to travel as required by role.

Location:

- Trivandrum and Bangalore

Remuneration:

- As per industry. Will consider higher for deserving candidates.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
