Role: Manager – Compliance
Role Overview
We are looking for a hard-core Compliance professional with robust expertise in both Factory Compliance and Corporate Statutory Compliance. The candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end compliance requirements across multiple manufacturing units/organisations and ensuring timely adherence to applicable labour, factory and statutory regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end factory and statutory compliance across multiple manufacturing locations.
Ensure compliance under applicable Factories Act, Labour Laws, Industrial Relations and statutory regulations.
Handle Factory Licence, registrations, renewals, returns, inspections and statutory records.
Manage compliance related to PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, Contract Labour and other applicable labour laws.
Ensure timely filing of statutory returns, registers and documentation.
Coordinate with Factories Department, Labour Department, PF/ESIC authorities and other government authorities.
Manage compliance of contract labour / manpower contractors, including licences, registers and statutory documentation.
Conduct periodic compliance audits across plants and corporate functions.
Identify compliance gaps, prepare corrective action plans and ensure closure.
Develop and maintain a central compliance calendar / tracker for various organisations and locations.
Monitor changes in labour legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.
Provide compliance guidance to HR, Plant HR, Finance, Legal and Business teams.
Handle statutory inspections, notices, show-cause notices and coordinate appropriate responses.
Ensure proper maintenance of statutory registers, records and documentation.
Prepare management MIS and compliance reports highlighting status, risks and pending actions.
Work with external consultants, legal advisors and compliance agencies wherever required.
Ensure compliance governance and standardisation across different organisations / business units.
Mandatory Requirements
Hard-core experience in both Factory Compliance and Corporate Statutory Compliance.
Strong hands-on knowledge of labour laws and factory-related statutory requirements.
Experience managing compliance across multiple plants / organisations / locations.
Proven experience handling government inspections, notices and statutory authorities.
Strong knowledge of PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Contract Labour, Minimum Wages, LWF, PT and Factory compliance.
Should be capable of independently managing the complete compliance function rather than being limited to HR operations.
Educational Qualification
Graduate / Post Graduate in HR, Labour Law, Law, Personnel Management or related discipline.
LLB / Labour Law qualification will be an added advantage.
