Role Description The Logistics Specialist role at Kitabō is a part-time remote position focused on coordinating and optimizing the movement of labware products across global supply chains. In this role, the specialist will manage order fulfillment, monitor shipment status, and liaise with freight partners such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT, Maersk, Hapag-Lloyd, CMA CGM, and MSC to ensure timely, compliant deliveries. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing export documentation,
verifying shipment details against SOPs and quality standards, and resolving logistics issues with internal teams and external partners.
The specialist will communicate shipment updates to stakeholders, address customer logistics inquiries, and support continuous improvement initiatives in logistics processes and data accuracy.
Qualifications
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to coordinate with internal teams, freight partners, and global customers.
- Analytical Skills to interpret logistics data, track KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and support process improvements.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management principles, including inventory flow, order fulfillment, and carrier coordination.
- Experience with Export processes, documentation, and compliance for international shipments.
- Familiarity with logistics or freight management systems and basic proficiency in Excel or similar tools.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple shipments, and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Background in logistics, supply chain, operations, or a related field; relevant coursework or certifications are an advantage.
- Understanding of ISO or quality system environments and prior experience with B2B industrial or laboratory products is beneficial.
