Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Business Development professional with experience in the Logistics, Freight Forwarding, and Transportation industry. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of Import & Export operations, Cargo Handling, Freight Services, and Supply Chain solutions. The candidate will be responsible for generating current business opportunities, developing client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and acquire new clients for logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, and cargo services.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, and traders.
- Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research.
- Promote Air Freight, Sea Freight, Road Transportation, Customs Clearance, and Warehousing services.
- Understand customer requirements and provide customized logistics solutions.
- Prepare quotations, negotiate commercial terms,



and close business deals.
- Coordinate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and business opportunities.

Required Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Business Development within the Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Transportation, Shipping, or Import-Export industry.

Strong Understanding of:

- Import & Export Processes

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong client acquisition and relationship management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Existing network of importers, exporters, manufacturers, and logistics clients.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets.
- Robust commercial and market understanding of the Ahmedabad and Gujarat region.
- Experience in freight forwarding companies, shipping lines, logistics service providers, or transportation companies will be preferred.
