Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Lead QA / Senior QA with 5–8 years of experience to lead and contribute to end-to-end testing activities. This is a hands-on technical QA role with leadership potential, requiring strong expertise in Manual/Functional Testing, Database Testing, API Testing, and Functional Automation Testing.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Katalon and Playwright, strong SQL skills including medium-to-complex queries and stored procedures, and experience validating complex transaction workflows.

The candidate will be responsible for driving automation initiatives alongside functional testing, providing technical guidance to the QA team, troubleshooting complex issues, identifying risks, and ensuring adherence to quality best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze business and technical requirements and identify test scenarios and risks.
- Prepare test strategies, estimates, test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
- Execute and lead Functional, Integration, System, Regression, End-to-End, API, and Automation Testing.
- Perform Database Testing using medium-to-complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Perform API testing and validation using Postman.
- Develop and maintain functional automation scripts using Katalon and Playwright.
- Validate complex transaction workflows and end-to-end business processes.
- Coordinate testing activities across onsite and offshore teams.
- Manage defects from identification through closure and support critical defect analysis.




- Troubleshoot technical issues and remove testing-related roadblocks.
- Review test cases, test scripts, automation code, and other QA artifacts.
- Mentor junior QA team members and provide technical guidance.
- Identify quality risks and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, automation coverage, and testing efficiency.
- Ensure software releases meet defined quality standards and acceptance criteria.

Must-Have Skills

Testing

- Strong hands-on experience in Manual &
- Functional Testing.
- Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and End-to-End Testing.
- Robust experience in API Testing using Postman.
- Experience testing complex transaction workflows.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, defect lifecycle, and QA processes.

Automation
- Hands-on experience with Katalon Studio.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and executing functional automation test scripts.
- Ability to identify suitable scenarios for automation and improve automation coverage.

SQL &
- Database Testing

- Strong SQL and Database Testing experience.
- Ability to write medium to complex SQL queries.
- Strong knowledge of joins, subqueries, data validation, and CRUD operations.




- Experience working with Stored Procedures.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or Oracle SQL Developer.

Test Management &
- Collaboration

- Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
- Experience with Zephyr or equivalent test management tools.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Experience coordinating testing activities across distributed/onshore-offshore teams.

Leadership &
- Ownership

- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to QA team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex testing and application issues.
- Strong ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify risks and proactively drive quality improvements.

Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Selenium or other automation frameworks.
- Experience with JMeter / Performance Testing.
- Additional API automation/testing experience.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
- Experience in building or enhancing automation frameworks.
- Experience with Payment Processing / Payment Gateway systems.
- Knowledge of Card Transactions, Settlement, Reconciliation, Financial Transactions, or high-volume transaction systems.
- Experience working on financial or banking applications.
- Experience in validating high-volume transactional systems.
- Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.
- Experience driving QA process improvements and automation initiatives.
