Qualifications

- Strong foundation in relevant disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering or related fields, typically demonstrated through a relevant bachelor’s (>75%) or master’s degree.
- Research-oriented skills, including literature review, experimental design, data collection, data analysis, and preparation of technical documentation and research manuscripts.
- Laboratory and technical skills appropriate to the project area, such as handling instruments, maintaining lab safety protocols, and using analytical or simulation tools.
- Proficiency in scientific writing and communication, with the ability to present findings clearly in reports, presentations, and discussions with research teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment, manage time effectively, and take initiative in solving technical and research-related problems.
- Familiarity with relevant national-level exams (e.g., GATE, NET) and eligibility norms for research fellowships; candidates with valid GATE/NET scores may be preferred, depending on funding requirements.
- Basic competence in statistical or computational tools (such as Excel, MATLAB, or similar software) and comfort with AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
- Experience with Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), Gas Chromatography (GC), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and CHNS instruments handling would be an added advantage.
