Role Description The Junior Fabric Merchandiser role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai.

This role involves assisting in fabric sourcing, sampling, and order follow-ups, as well as coordinating with suppliers, mills, and internal production teams to ensure fabric quality, timelines, and specifications are met.

The Junior Fabric Merchandiser will help prepare fabric swatch cards, maintain fabric libraries, update order status reports, and support price negotiations with vendors under guidance.

Daily responsibilities include communication with clients and internal stakeholders, resolving basic queries, tracking shipment schedules,



and supporting the senior merchandising team in customer presentations and market research on trends, fibers, and finishes.

Qualifications

- Strong Communication skills to coordinate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
- Customer Service skills to address client needs, manage queries, and support long-term business relationships.
- Sales and Retail knowledge to understand buyer requirements, pricing considerations, and retail market trends.
- Marketing skills to assist in presenting fabrics, preparing product decks, and supporting brand positioning for global clients.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, Merchandising, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of fabrics, yarns, dyeing, printing, and garment construction, with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong organizational skills for managing data and documentation.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, handle multiple tasks, and collaborate in a quick-paced, deadline-driven environment.
