Role Description The Junior Fabrication Engineer will support the fabrication and assembly of specialized construction equipment, focusing on components for bridge construction systems. This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division, working closely with senior engineers, supervisors, and workshop teams.
Day-to-day responsibilities include interpreting fabrication drawings, assisting in planning and coordinating machining, welding, and assembly operations, and monitoring production activities to meet quality and safety standards. The role involves performing basic inspections, documenting fabrication processes,
supporting troubleshooting during equipment assembly, and coordinating with project teams to ensure timely delivery of fabricated parts.
The Junior Fabrication
Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, maintain accurate records, and follow all relevant health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering knowledge with an understanding of fabrication processes and structural components.
- Candidates should possess skills in Welding and Machining, including familiarity with common fabrication tools, equipment, and workshop practices.
- Candidates should possess Quality Control skills, including basic inspection methods, tolerance checks, and documentation of nonconformities.
- Candidates should possess foundational Project Management skills, such as task planning, time management, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset, and willingness to learn from senior team members.
- Valuable communication skills in English; ability to collaborate effectively in a multicultural work environment.
- Prior internship or entry-level experience in fabrication, heavy engineering, or construction equipment manufacturing is an advantage.
