Role Description The JavaEE Specialist role at HummingBird is a full time, on-site position based in Pune City. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining JavaEE-based applications that power HummingBird’s talent platform.

Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing new features, enhancing existing modules, and ensuring robust integration with web services and external systems. The specialist will collaborate with product managers, UI developers,



and QA teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and efficient solutions. The role also involves code reviews, performance optimization, troubleshooting production issues, and contributing to best practices for software development within the team.

Qualifications

- Strong software development skills with experience in designing, coding, testing, and deploying enterprise applications.
- Proficiency in Java and JavaEE frameworks, including experience with JavaServer Faces (JSF) or similar component-based web frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with front-end technologies such as HTML and related web standards for building user interfaces.
- Knowledge of web services (REST/SOAP), API integration, and secure communication between distributed systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with application servers, relational databases, version control (e.g., Git), and build tools (e.g., Maven or Gradle).
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience with AI-driven or SaaS platforms, cloud environments, and agile development methodologies is an advantage.
