Role Description As a JavaEE Software Engineer at HummingBird, you will design, develop, and maintain Jakarta EE/Java-based applications that power our AI-driven talent platform. You will work on back-end services, APIs, and integrations with third-party systems such as ATS/VMS solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance.

Daily responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing existing modules, collaborating with product and AI teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, and troubleshooting production issues.



You will participate in code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and follow best practices for clean, maintainable code and robust database interactions. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City.

Qualifications

- Strong proficiency in core Java and Jakarta EE for enterprise application development.
- Solid experience in software development practices, including object-oriented design, APIs, and microservices or modular architectures.
- Hands-on experience working with relational or NoSQL databases, including schema design, optimization, and query performance tuning.
- Knowledge of web services (REST/SOAP), API design, and secure integration with external platforms.
- Experience with build and dependency management tools (e.g., Maven/Gradle) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes) is an advantage.
- Understanding of secure coding practices, performance optimization, and application monitoring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and work effectively in an on-site setting.
- Experience in HRTech, recruitment platforms, or AI-driven systems is a plus.
