Role Description The JavaEE Specialist will work on-site in Mumbai in a full time capacity, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications on the HummingBird platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing JavaEE components, building and integrating web services, and developing secure, scalable features that support the platform’s AI-driven talent workflows.

The role involves collaborating with product managers, architects, and front-end developers to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.



The JavaEE Specialist will also review and optimize existing code, ensure adherence to best practices and performance standards, and participate in troubleshooting, debugging, and production support activities. Documentation of technical designs and active involvement in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives are integral to this position.

Qualifications

- Strong software development skills with experience in building enterprise applications using Java and JavaEE.
- Hands-on expertise with JavaServer Faces (JSF) or similar Java-based web frameworks for UI development.
- Proficiency in HTML and related web technologies for creating and integrating user interfaces.
- Experience designing, implementing, and consuming web services (REST/SOAP) within distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented design, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with application servers (e.g., WildFly, Payara, TomEE) and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with build and version control tools such as Maven/Gradle and Git.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exposure to HRTech, recruitment platforms, or AI-driven products is a plus.
