Role Description The Java EE Architect will design and oversee the architecture of enterprise-grade applications that power the HummingBird platform. This full time, on-site role is based in Pune City and involves collaborating with product managers, developers, and DevOps teams to define scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using Jakarta EE and related technologies.

Day-to-day responsibilities include creating architecture blueprints, selecting appropriate frameworks and integration patterns, guiding the implementation of web services and APIs, and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.



The architect will review designs and code, perform performance and security assessments, and lead technical discussions and design reviews. The role also includes mentoring engineering team members, contributing to technical roadmaps, and supporting continuous improvement of the platform’s integration and deployment strategies.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Architecture, including designing scalable, secure, and resilient enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience with Jakarta EE (Java EE) frameworks and standards for building robust enterprise applications.
- Proficiency in Java programming, including object-oriented design, performance optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Web Services and APIs (REST/SOAP), including design, implementation, and documentation.
- Background in Integration, including working with microservices, messaging, and integrations with ATS/VMS or similar enterprise platforms.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD practices is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with security best practices, performance tuning, and high-availability architectures for large-scale systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor team members.
