Responsibilities
Deliver approved classroom, laboratory, shop-floor and on-the-job training for solar manufacturing associates, technicians and supervisors as per the curriculum, session plan and production requirements.
Teach relevant manufacturing concepts across the assigned process area, which may include the solar value chain, material handling, cell or module manufacturing, stringing and lay-up, lamination, framing, junction-box activities, testing, inspection, packing and traceability.
Explain machine basics, process flow, critical parameters, work instructions, quality checkpoints, common defects and escalation requirements in straightforward and practical language.
Demonstrate secure machine interaction, PPE compliance, electrical and chemical safety, ergonomics, lockout and tagout awareness, emergency response, 5S and clean-workplace practices relevant to the manufacturing workplace.
Use samples, defect boards, visual work instructions, demonstrations, simulations and supervised practice to build correct task performance and process discipline.
Conduct pre-training,
in-process and post-training assessments, including practical skill checks, and accurately record attendance, scores, observations and certification recommendations.
Coach participants on quality consciousness, waste reduction, first-time-right practices, productivity, teamwork, reporting of abnormalities and adherence to standard work.
Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, EHS, maintenance and program delivery stakeholders to keep training aligned with approved processes and current shop-floor requirements.
Identify learning gaps through assessment data and observation, provide remedial training and recommend content or delivery improvements.
Ensure training aids, machines, tools, samples and personal protective equipment are safely arranged and available for each practical session.
