Role Description
The Senior Conservation Assistant is a full-time, in office role based in the Pune Division. The position focuses on the preservation, documentation, and care of cricket-related artifacts and memorabilia, including textiles, equipment, documents, and photographs. Day-to-day tasks include assessing the condition of collection items, implementing preventive conservation measures, coordinating cleaning and handling protocols,



and maintaining environmental controls in storage and display areas. The role also involves preparing items for exhibition, supporting conservation records and cataloging, overseeing basic restoration activities under guidance, and training junior staff or volunteers in safe handling and preservation practices. The Senior Conservation Assistant collaborates closely with curators, exhibition teams, and operations staff to ensure that the museum’s collections remain stable, accessible, and engaging for visitors.

Qualifications
- Experience in museum conservation, collections care, or heritage preservation, preferably with historical artifacts, textiles, documents, or sports memorabilia.
- Knowledge of preventive conservation practices, including environmental monitoring, safe storage methods, and appropriate handling techniques for fragile objects.
