Your role
Your Role Overview The IT Operations Specialist for Certificate, DNS, and Identity Management plays a pivotal role within Atlas Copco's Global IT Hub. This position is responsible for establishing and sustaining uniform processes and tools related to certificate lifecycle management, DNS infrastructure, and hybrid identity solutions across multiple regions. As a subject matter expert, you will guide and empower regional IT teams in implementing best practices, fostering operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
Key Responsibilities Span Across Three Core Domains
- Certificate Lifecycle Management: Oversee end-to-end management of digital certificate lifecycles, ensuring accurate inventory and automated monitoring to prevent service disruptions. Design and deploy scalable automation workflows to streamline certificate renewal and deployment processes with a focus on security and efficiency.
- External Domain & DNS Management: Manage global DNS infrastructure, processing requests efficiently while automating domain lifecycle activities including transfers and renewals. Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain DNS records accurately and support domain-related risk mitigation in partnership with security teams.
- Identity & Access Management (IAM): Administer hybrid identity environments integrating Active Directory and Entra ID, manage group policy objects and authentication mechanisms such as MFA, SSO, and Conditional Access. Support application integrations using SAML/OIDC protocols and manage Azure subscriptions and RBAC assignments to maintain secure and scalable identity frameworks.
Additionally, you will lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency through scripting and automation, champion continuous process improvements, and act as a knowledge resource for certificate and DNS services on a global scale. Your role includes delivering training, consultations,
and fostering adoption of standardized methodologies to support a cohesive IT operations environment.
To succeed, you will need To Succeed, You Will Need
- - 7+ years of IT experience in global operations, shared services, infrastructure, or security, including 3+ years in a senior or lead role.
- 5+ years of hands-on SSL/TLS certificate experience, including wildcard, SAN, EV, OV, DV, code signing, client authentication, SAML, and device certificates.
- Strong PKI and TLS knowledge, including X.509, certificate chains, trust stores, revocation, cipher suites, TLS 1.2/1.3, mutual TLS, CSR generation, key management, and certificate formats such as PEM, DER, PKCS#12, and JKS.
- Practical experience with certificate installation and troubleshooting across IIS, Apache, NGINX, F5, Citrix, Java keystores, Windows, Linux, containers, and cloud platforms.
- Experience with certificate lifecycle platforms such as Sectigo Certificate Manager, ACME-based automation, cert-manager, Microsoft ADCS, HSMs, HashiCorp Vault, or Azure Key Vault.
- Solid knowledge of external domain management, DNS records, DNS security, domain verification, failover, redirection, domain transfers, registration, and record lifecycle management.
- Experience with cloud and enterprise DNS platforms such as Azure DNS, AWS Route 53, AWS Certificate Manager, Infoblox, BlueCat, BIND, or dnssec-tools.
- Strong diagnostic skills using tools such as openssl s_client, dig, nslookup, Qualys SSL Labs, and Wireshark.
- Automation experience using Python, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, REST APIs, Git, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platforms, ITIL processes,
Power BI reporting, and service performance management.
Education and Personality
- University degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- ITIL Foundation certification is desirable; security or PKI-related certifications such as Security+, SSCP, CISSP, SC-300, AZ-500, or vendor CLM certification are advantageous.
- Able to explain technical risk in clear business language and influence stakeholders toward secure, practical decisions.

Job location
This position is located in Pune, India, within the Atlas Copco office at Hinjewadi Phase 1. Offering a hybrid working model, this role enables a flexible balance between remote work and onsite collaboration, tailored to optimize productivity and team interaction.
