Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible IPD Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the In-Patient Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth patient flow, effective coordination between departments, quality patient care, and efficient IPD operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise the overall IPD operations of the hospital.
- Ensure smooth patient admission, bed allocation, transfer, and discharge processes.
- Monitor patient flow, bed occupancy, and bed availability.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing, billing, TPA, pharmacy, diagnostics, housekeeping, and other departments.
- Ensure timely completion of discharge procedures and documentation.
- Handle patient and attendant concerns and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Monitor IPD documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and NABH standards.
- Coordinate with the medical and nursing teams for smooth patient care services.
- Monitor daily IPD activity, admissions, discharges, transfers, and occupancy reports.
- Ensure proper coordination for TPA, cashless, insurance, and government scheme patients.
- Identify operational gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and review IPD-related MIS and performance reports.
- Ensure proper communication and coordination among IPD staff and departmental heads.
- Monitor staff performance, discipline,



attendance, and workflow within the IPD.
- Conduct regular rounds and identify patient service or operational issues.
- Support implementation of quality improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
- Handle escalations and coordinate with senior management when required.

Candidate Requirements
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Hospital Management, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in hospital IPD operations.
- Strong knowledge of hospital workflows, patient admission/discharge processes, and bed management.
- Experience in NABH-accredited hospitals will be preferred.
- Valuable knowledge of TPA, insurance, cashless, and government health schemes will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, MIS, and hospital management systems (HIMS).
- Ability to manage teams and work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment.
