About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our team in Kozhikode. The selected candidate will work from our office and provide dedicated accounting support to one of our UAE-based insurance clients. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent Microsoft Excel skills, and the ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations with accuracy and efficiency.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced workplace, handling large volumes of financial data, performing reconciliations, and supporting the client's finance operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Compliance
- Process and verify accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time.
- Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Reconcile insurance company statements and identify discrepancies.
- Prepare customer invoices, payment records, and commission statements.




- Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support VAT preparation and ensure proper documentation for UAE VAT compliance.
- Assist during internal and external audit processes by providing required schedules and supporting documents.

Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliation schedules.
- Generate reports related to revenue, receivables, payables, and cash movements.
- Analyze accounting data and highlight discrepancies or unusual transactions.
- Respond to finance-related queries from the client and internal management.
- Maintain various MIS reports and financial trackers.

Excel & Data Management
- Prepare and maintain financial reports using Microsoft Excel.
