- Develop and manage 3D BIM models for rail systems, stations, and related infrastructure using industrystandard tools ( Microstation , AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRail, Navisworks).
- Produce 2D CAD drawings and detailed design documentation in compliance with U.S. Nordics rail standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Survey, Architect, Utilities, Civil, structural, MEP) to ensure model integrity and resolve clashes.
- Implement and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and projectspecific BIM protocols.
- Perform model validation, clash detection, and quality checks using Navisworks, or similar tools.
- Support design reviews and create visualizations for stakeholder presentations.
- Coordinating with other discipline model managers / stake holders.
- Ensure compliance with rail design codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain model and drawing accuracy per BIM standards and workflow checklists.
- Synchronize and update models on cloud collaboration platforms daily, including for team review and markup.
- Deliver outputs on schedule and report progress to the BIM Lead/Coordinator.
- Support the company’s SHEQ initiatives within assigned responsibilities.
- Develope procedures, including setting up seed files, templates, shared parameters, and families.
- Lead development of disciplinespecific model content when required.
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience: o Minimum 3-5 years of experience in BIM and CAD design for rail or transportation projects. o Familiarity with Nordics rail standards (TRVINFRA or European Norms) preferred.
Technical Skills
o Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRail/Road and BIM coordination tools (Navisworks, or similar tools).
o Experience with cloud collaboration platforms and CDE like Projectwise, BIM 360, ACC etc.
o Experience in handling Lidar / Point Cloud data. o Knowledge of interoperability with different formats / platforms.
Other Skills
