Role Description The Intensive Care Nurse at Medicofix will provide direct bedside care to critically ill patients in an intensive care unit at a partner hospital in Delhi, India. This part time, on-site role includes monitoring vital signs and life-support equipment, administering medications and therapies as prescribed, and responding promptly to changes in patient conditions.
The nurse will collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to implement care plans, support emergency interventions, and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
Additional responsibilities include educating patients’ families on care procedures, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, and contributing to continuous quality improvement within the ICU setting.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong foundational Nursing skills, with experience in hospital-based patient care.
- Candidates should possess Emergency Nursing skills, including rapid assessment, stabilization, and response to acute clinical situations.
- Candidates should possess Critical Care Nursing skills, with proficiency in managing ventilated patients, invasive monitoring, and complex care plans.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Medicine and Critical Care Medicine relevant to intensive care protocols, pharmacology, and evidence-based practice.
- Current nursing registration/license with the appropriate professional body and completion of an accredited nursing program (Bachelor’s or Diploma in Nursing).
- Prior experience in an ICU, CCU, or high-dependency unit is strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork abilities, with a commitment to ethical, patient-centered care.
- Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the intensive care unit schedule.
