Key Responsibilities:-
A. Client, Consultant & Stakeholder Coordination
- Act as the single technical point of contact for clients, Government consultants, PMCs and internal project teams on all IT and ICT matters.
- Study client requirements, tender specifications and project scope, and translate them into clear internal technical briefs.
- Attend technical and review meetings; record and circulate minutes, action points and technical decisions.
- Raise, track and close technical queries and clarifications with clients and consultants within committed timelines.
B. Tendering & Technical Documentation
- Prepare and compile IT / ICT tender documents, technical proposals, compliance statements, deviation statements and technical submissions.
- Prepare or coordinate the preparation of DBR, DPR, method statements, schematic layouts and other technical reports.
- Build and validate BOQs for IT, networking, AV and ELV packages; check quantities against drawings and specifications.
- Ensure every submission is complete, correctly formatted and compliant with Government tender conditions before it leaves the office.
C. Vendor & Technical Evaluation
- Obtain datasheets, drawings, make-model approvals, test certificates and compliance documents from vendors and OEMs.
- Technically evaluate vendor offers against tender specifications; identify gaps, deviations and non-compliances.
- Compare proposed equipment and configurations with project requirements and recommend technically suitable options to management.
- Coordinate technical clarifications, sample approvals and pre-dispatch inspections.
D. Project & Site Support
- Visit project sites as and when required to inspect and verify IT / ICT installation work cable routing, containment, rack layouts, terminations, device placement and system readiness.
- Support testing, commissioning and integration of network, Wi-Fi, AV, PA, CCTV, access control and communication systems.
- Coordinate between the site execution team and vendors to resolve technical issues on the ground.
- Verify vendor work against approved drawings and specifications before certification and handover.
Note: site visits are short and requirement-driven for inspection and verification. The role is based at Ranchi and is not a site-stationed posting. E. Internal IT & Office Technology
- Own day-to-day IT operations at the head office desktops, laptops, printers, LAN, Wi-Fi, internet links, email, file storage and backups.
- Maintain the office network and ensure uptime; troubleshoot connectivity, hardware and software issues for project and administrative staff.
- Manage IT asset records, licences, AMC contracts and service-provider coordination.
- Support meeting-room AV and video-conferencing setups, and assist teams with the digital tools used across the company.
- Maintain basic IT hygiene and security access control, antivirus, patching, password policy and data backup discipline.
F. Documentation, Reporting & Handover
- Maintain the complete project technical file drawings, specifications, BOQs, approvals, correspondence and revisions.
- Prepare periodic project status reports and MIS for management.
- Maintain a traceable record of client submissions, approvals and comments.
- Compile as-built documentation, O&M; manuals, warranties and handover dossiers at project closure.
Technical Knowledge Required:- Essential Networking & IT Infrastructure
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, VLAN, DHCP, DNS, basic routing and switching.
- LAN / WAN design, structured cabling (Cat 6/6A, OFC), racks, patching and cable management.
- Managed switches, routers, firewalls and enterprise Wi-Fi / controller-based wireless networks.
- Servers, storage, virtualisation and backup systems working knowledge.
- Data centre / server room infrastructure basic understanding of power, cooling,
containment and rack planning.
- Basic cybersecurity and network security concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams, single-line diagrams, layouts and IT infrastructure drawings.
Essential ICT / ELV Systems
- Audio-visual and conferencing systems displays, projection, sound reinforcement, VC setups.
- Public address, intercom and IP telephony / communication systems.
- CCTV and IP surveillance, NVR/VMS and storage sizing.
- Access control, boom barriers and allied ICT/ELV systems, including their integration with the IT network.
Essential Documentation & Tools
- MS Excel (robust) and MS Word; comfort with BOQ, comparative statements and structured reporting.
- Technical writing specifications, compliance statements and reports in clear, correct English.
- Ability to understand and work from BOQs, tender specifications and Government documentation formats.
Preferred / Added Advantage
- CCNA / CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft / Azure certifications.
- Firewall and network security exposure (Fortinet, Sophos, Cisco or equivalent).
- AutoCAD (basic) and MS Visio for network and layout drawings.
- Prior work on Government / PSU / large institutional IT or ICT projects.
- Familiarity with Government tender portals and submission processes.
Qualification & Experience :- Education- B.E. / B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology or Electronics & Communication Engineering preferred. BCA / MCA or equivalent IT qualification considered where backed by strong relevant experience.
Certification- CCNA / CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft or equivalent networking certification will be given clear preference.
Experience- 3 7 years in IT infrastructure, system integration, networking, ELV/ICT or IT project execution preferably within EPC or construction project environments.
Advantage- Experience on Government, PSU or large institutional projects, and exposure to tendering and technical documentation.
