Role Description The IGCSE Math Tutor (Grades 9–10) – Remote is a partl-time role responsible for delivering live, one-on-one online tutoring sessions in alignment with the IGCSE Mathematics curriculum. The tutor will plan and conduct lessons that build strong understanding in core topics, including algebra and related areas, and adjust teaching methods to match individual learning styles and progress.

Daily tasks include assessing student performance, identifying gaps, and creating targeted practice questions and explanations to improve comprehension and exam readiness. The tutor will collaborate with the UnboundYou team to integrate study resources,



share feedback on students’ progress, and maintain clear communication with learners and, where appropriate, their families. The role also involves fostering a supportive, low-stress learning setting that encourages confidence, consistency, and effective study habits in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

- Strong subject-matter expertise in Mathematics, with solid command of IGCSE topics .
- Experience in Tutoring and Online Tutoring, preferably with IGCSE or comparable international curricula.
- Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt language to different learners.
- Demonstrated ability to personalize instruction, use digital tools effectively, and manage remote teaching sessions confidently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field; teaching certification or IGCSE-specific training is an advantage.
- Prior experience preparing students for standardized or board examinations, with familiarity in exam strategies and question patterns.
- Patient, empathetic, and organized approach, with a commitment to supporting students’ academic progress and well-being.
