Role Description The IIT Course Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. The role involves guiding students and families on IIT preparation courses, including explaining course structures, schedules, and outcomes, and helping them select programs that match their academic goals. The counselor will handle inbound inquiries, conduct one-on-one counseling sessions, follow up with prospective students, and maintain accurate records of interactions and enrollments.

Daily tasks include collaborating with faculty and administrative teams to stay updated on course offerings, supporting admission processes, and providing clear,



empathetic communication to ensure a positive counseling experience. The role also requires participation in seminars, orientations, and promotional activities related to IIT coaching programs.

Qualifications

- Strong counseling and advisory abilities, with a focus on educational and career guidance for students preparing for competitive exams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including fluency in English and local languages commonly used in Bengaluru South.
- Organizational and documentation skills to manage student records, follow-ups, and admission-related processes accurately.
- Basic computer proficiency, including use of office productivity tools and CRM or student management systems.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, coaching institutes, or education services is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, psychology, or counseling is an advantage.
- Ability to work in office, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to a student-centered, fast-paced environment.
