Roles Responsibilities:-
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of air-cooled chillers, package ACs, split ACs, AHUs, FCUs, ventilation systems, and related HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, cooling towers, pumps, valves, motors, contactors, sensors, relays, and VFDs.
- Check refrigerant pressures, temperatures, and operating parameters to ensure optimum system performance.
- Identify refrigerant leaks and carry out leak detection, repair, charging, evacuation, and refrigerant recovery activities.
- Support emergency breakdown maintenance activities to minimize production downtime.
- Monitor HVAC system performance and recommend improvements for energy efficiency and reliability.
- Maintain chillers, cooling towers, circulation pumps, and associated equipment as per maintenance schedules.
- Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Health and Safety, Workplace, Energy and Quality
- Follow safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow Environmental Management System requirements.
- Ensure proper handling, recovery, and disposal of waste.
- Prevent refrigerant leaks and minimize environmental impact.
- Operate and maintain HVAC equipment to achieve optimum energy efficiency.
- Monitor energy consumption trends and identify opportunities for energy conservation.
- Adhere to Quality Management System procedures and work instructions.
- Ensure maintenance activities are completed according to established standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely maintenance documentation and records.
Requirements Qualifications
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles and HVAC system operations.
- Knowledge of compressors, condensers, evaporators, expansion valves, cooling towers, and chilled water systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
- Hands-on experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance of HVAC equipment.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge of motors, contactors, relays, VFDs, sensors, and control circuits.
- Proficiency in handling, detecting leaks in, evacuating, charging, and recovering refrigerants.
