POSITION SUMMARY The HVAC Design Engineer – Drafting is responsible for developing HVAC ducting layouts and piping layouts independently, ensuring adherence to applicable guidelines and standards.

We are looking for an HVAC Drafting Technician / Revit Modeler with 3+ years of experience drafting and modelling mechanical HVAC systems specifically within the Life Sciences sector (Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, Cleanrooms, and R&D; Laboratories). The candidate will be responsible for translating engineering designs into accurate 2D CAD drawings and 3D BIM models compliant with cleanroom and regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

2D Drafting & 3D Modelling

● Prepare detailed HVAC ductwork, piping layouts, chilled water piping,



and mechanical room layouts using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.

Cleanroom Detailing

● Draft layout plans for specialized cleanroom environments (ISO Grade A–D), including HEPA filter module layouts, air lock detailing, and pressure differential zoning maps.

Clash Detection & Coordination

● Perform clash identification and spatial coordination between HVAC ducting/piping and architectural, structural, electrical, and process piping disciplines using Navisworks.

Drawing Production

● Generate Construction Drawings, Tender Drawings, As-Built Drawings, Equipment Installation Details, and Schematics/P&IDs; based on engineer markup sheets.

Quantity Take-Offs

● Extract Material Take-Offs (MTO) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for HVAC ducting, insulation, piping, and air terminal devices from Revit models/CAD files.

QUALIFICATIONS & KEY REQUIREMENTS

Education

● Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Draftsmanship, or relevant technical trade certificate.

Experience

● Minimum 3 years of hands-on HVAC drafting and modelling experience, with demonstrated exposure to pharmaceutical or cleanroom projects.

Software Proficiency

● AutoCAD (Expert level: 2D drafting, agile blocks, external references).

● Revit MEP (Intermediate-to-advanced: family creation, work-sharing, parameter setup).

● Navisworks Manage / Freedom (Clash detection and review).

Technical Knowledge

● Basic understanding of cleanroom HVAC concepts (air distribution, pressure cascades, duct sizing, HEPA filter housings).

● Familiarity with duct construction standards (SMACNA) and basic piping layout conventions.
