Position Title: Manager – Human Resources
Location: Hyderabad
Functional Reporting To: Assistant Director – Human Resources
Operational Reporting To: General Manager – Hyderabad

Position Overview The Manager – Human Resources serves as the Head of Department for the Hyderabad unit and is responsible for the overall delivery of the people agenda at the unit level.
The role partners closely with the General Manager, department heads, and Corporate HR team to ensure effective workforce planning, employee relations, talent management, engagement, compliance, and HR operations. The incumbent is expected to maintain a strong understanding of business and operational requirements while ensuring consistent application of HR policies, processes, and organisational standards.
The role also leads the unit HR team and is accountable for building a responsive, employee-focused, and operationally effective HR function.
Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Business Partnership
- Lead the HR function for the Hyderabad unit and act as the primary HR partner to the General Manager and department heads
- Advise business leaders on employee relations, performance, manpower, organisation structure, and other people matters
- Translate organisational HR priorities into effective unit-level execution
- Identify people-related risks and proactively recommend appropriate interventions
- Lead and develop the unit HR team, ensuring clear ownership and timely delivery of HR responsibilities
Employee Relations & Employee Experience
- Own employee relations and grievance management across the unit
- Maintain solid employee connect and visibility through regular floor presence and interactions
- Guide managers on employee conduct, disciplinary matters, counselling, performance concerns, and workplace issues
- Ensure employee concerns are addressed fairly, consistently, and in accordance with Company policies and applicable processes
- Drive employee engagement, welfare, recognition, and retention initiatives
Workforce Planning & Talent Management
- Partner with the General Manager and department heads on manpower planning and workforce requirements
- Monitor headcount, vacancies, attrition, and manpower risks across departments
- Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure timely closure of critical vacancies
- Support internal movements, succession planning, promotions, and talent development initiatives
- Monitor probation, confirmation, and performance management processes across the unit
Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations
- Oversee the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and separations
- Ensure employee documentation, records, and HRMS data are complete and accurate
- Oversee attendance, leave, payroll inputs, employee movements, and other monthly HR processes
- Ensure timely completion of exit formalities, handovers, clearances, and Full & Final inputs
- Ensure HR processes are executed accurately and within defined timelines
Performance & Capability Development
- Drive performance management processes and ensure timely completion of performance reviews and related documentation
- Partner with department heads on performance improvement plans and development interventions
- Identify training and capability gaps in partnership with business leaders and Corporate HR
- Support implementation and completion of organisational learning and compliance training initiatives
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, Company policies, and HR SOPs
- Oversee employee and outsourced manpower documentation and compliance requirements
- Coordinate statutory, internal, and HR audits and ensure timely closure of observations
- Ensure appropriate documentation and due process in disciplinary and employee relations matters
- Support implementation of POSH, workplace conduct, safety, and other statutory or organisational requirements at the unit level
Outsourced Manpower & Vendor Management
- Oversee outsourced manpower deployment and coordinate with department heads on requirements
- Monitor vendor documentation, attendance, deployment, and statutory compliance
- Work with relevant internal stakeholders to address manpower gaps and vendor-related concerns
HR Reporting & Analytics
- Own unit HR dashboards, trackers, and periodic reporting
- Monitor key people metrics including headcount, attrition, vacancies, attendance, employee relations, and manpower costs
- Analyse HR trends and highlight areas requiring intervention to the General Manager and Corporate HR
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of all HR reports and data
Skills & Qualifications
- 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in hospitality, retail, or another people-intensive service environment
- Prior experience independently managing HR operations for a business unit, property, or location preferred
- Strong experience in employee relations, grievance management, performance management, and HR operations
- Good working knowledge of applicable labour laws and statutory compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior operational leaders and manage complex employee matters
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to balance employee advocacy with business and organisational requirements
- High level of ownership, discretion, judgement, and professionalism
- Proficiency in HRMS platforms, Microsoft Office, HR reporting, and data analysis
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
