ABOUT NEWMI CARE
Newmi Care is India's first single-specialty women's health OPD clinic chain, operating a phygital model with operations all over India. We are building full-stack, tech-led women's healthcare platform — covering the 40+ years of a woman's health journey that today's hospitals and D2C apps ignore.
As we scale, we're looking for an HR Manager to build and run the people function across our clinical and corporate teams.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We're looking for a hands-on HR Manager who can own end-to-end HR for a fast-growing healthcare organization — spanning both clinical (doctor) hiring and non-healthcare/corporate roles. This is a generalist role covering recruitment, talent management, HR operations, and compliance, with a small team of junior HR resources reporting in.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
•
Lead end-to-end recruitment for both healthcare roles (doctors, clinical staff) and non-healthcare/corporate roles (operations, tech, marketing, business, support functions)
•
Own doctor hiring specifically — sourcing, screening, and closing candidates in a competitive and specialized talent market
•
Build and manage a healthy candidate pipeline across job portals, referrals, agencies, and professional networks
•
Design and refine interview and selection processes in coordination with hiring managers
•
Manage offer rollouts, negotiations, and onboarding
Talent Management
•
Support performance management cycles, goal-setting, and appraisals
•
Drive employee engagement initiatives and retention strategies
•
Identify training and development needs across teams
•
Support career pathing and internal mobility
HR Operations & Compliance
•
Manage leave management and attendance processes
•
Draft, implement, and periodically review HR policies
•
Ensure compliance with POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) requirements, including committee coordination, awareness sessions, and case handling as needed
•
Ensure adherence to other statutory and labor law compliances applicable to a healthcare/clinic-based organization
•
Maintain HR documentation, employee records, and audit readiness
REQUIREMENTS
•
5–6 years of overall HR experience, with meaningful exposure to full-cycle recruitment
•
Prior experience hiring for healthcare/clinical roles (doctors, nursing, paramedical) strongly preferred
•
Solid understanding of HR policies, leave management, and statutory compliances including POSH
•
Experience managing or mentoring a small team
•
Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup workplace with hands-on, high-ownership expectations
•
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — this role interfaces with clinical staff, corporate teams, and leadership
•
Proficiency with HRMS tools like GreytHR and MS Office
•
Bachelor's degree required; MBA/PGDM in HR or related field preferred
WHAT WE OFFER
•
Opportunity to build the HR function at India's leading women's health OPD chain
•
Direct exposure to leadership and cross-functional decision-making
•
A mission-driven environment focused on improving women's healthcare access
