Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced HR & Admin Manager to manage the complete HR and administration function for our steel strips manufacturing plant in Bhiwadi.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in plant HR, industrial relations, employee engagement, labour law compliance, contract labour management, recruitment, payroll coordination, and general administration. The candidate will work closely with plant leadership and department heads to ensure smooth workforce operations and a disciplined, productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plant HR & Workforce Management
- Manage end-to-end HR operations for the manufacturing plant.
- Handle blue-collar, contractual, staff and supervisory workforce.
- Develop and implement HR policies, processes and practices aligned with plant requirements.
- Manage manpower planning, deployment and workforce productivity.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, stores and other departments for manpower requirements.
- Monitor attendance, absenteeism, shift schedules, overtime and workforce discipline.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
1. Industrial Relations & Employee Relations
- Manage day-to-day employee relations and industrial relations (IR) at the plant.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters and conflict resolution.
- Maintain a healthy and disciplined work environment.
- Address shop-floor employee concerns in coordination with plant management.
- Support management in handling worker issues, disputes and negotiations.
- Conduct employee meetings and engagement activities.
- Maintain positive relations with workers, supervisors and contractor employees.
1. Labour Law & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements.
- Manage compliance related to Factories Act, PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, Contract Labour and other applicable regulations.
- Coordinate statutory filings, registers, licenses and renewals.
- Manage labour department inspections and statutory audits.
- Ensure proper documentation and records for regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external consultants/agencies wherever required.
1. Contract Labour Management
- Manage contractual manpower and contractor-related HR activities.
- Coordinate with labour contractors for manpower availability and compliance.
- Verify contractor documentation, attendance, wages and statutory compliance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable contract labour requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance and workforce discipline.
1. Recruitment & Manpower Planning
- Handle recruitment for plant staff, supervisors, operators, technicians and support functions.
- Work with functional heads to understand manpower requirements.
- Manage sourcing, screening, interviews, selection and onboarding.
- Develop local recruitment channels for plant manpower.
- Maintain manpower budgets and approved headcount.
1. Payroll & Attendance
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing with the relevant teams.
- Ensure accurate attendance, leave, overtime and shift records.
- Verify payroll inputs and resolve employee salary-related queries.
- Coordinate PF, ESIC and other statutory payroll-related activities.
- Monitor employee documentation and joining/exit formalities.
1. Performance & Employee Engagement
- Support performance management and appraisal processes.
- Coordinate employee engagement and welfare initiatives.
- Develop initiatives to improve employee retention and reduce absenteeism/attrition.
- Conduct induction and HR orientation programs.
- Support training and development initiatives for plant employees.
1. Plant Administration
- Manage overall plant administration activities.
- Oversee housekeeping, security, canteen, transportation and other facility-related services.
- Coordinate with security agencies and ensure proper access control.
- Manage employee welfare facilities and workplace amenities.
- Handle vendor/agency coordination related to administration.
- Ensure a protected, disciplined and well-maintained workplace in coordination with relevant teams.
1. MIS & Management Reporting
- Prepare and present regular HR & Admin MIS to plant management.

Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Plant HR / Factory HR operations.
- Good understanding of Industrial Relations and Labour Laws.
- Experience handling blue-collar and contractual workforce.
- Strong employee grievance and conflict-management skills.
- Good knowledge of PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages and Contract Labour compliance.
- Experience in recruitment and manpower planning for manufacturing environments.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong administrative and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage plant HR operations.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and HRMS/ERP systems.
Educational Qualification MBA/PGDM in HR / Personnel Management / Labour Welfare preferred.
A Bachelor's degree with relevant plant HR experience may also be considered.

Candidate Profile
- 8+ years of overall HR experience, preferably with significant plant/manufacturing HR experience.
- Should have independently handled HR & Admin activities at a manufacturing plant.
- Robust exposure to IR, labour compliance and contractor management.
- Should be comfortable working in a shop-floor/manufacturing setting.
- Male candidate preferred due to the nature and requirements of the plant role.
- Candidates currently working in or around Bhiwadi, Neemrana, Dharuhera, Manesar, Rewari, Gurgaon/Gurugram or Alwar can be considered.
