Key Responsibilities:

- Independently review and report Histopathology, Cytology and related pathology cases.

- Examine and interpret biopsy, surgical pathology and cytology specimens.

- Review grossing, tissue processing, embedding, sectioning and staining processes as required.

- Correlate histopathology findings with clinical history and other laboratory investigations.

- Review and validate reports before final authorization.

- Handle complex and critical cases and provide appropriate clinical inputs.

- Ensure timely reporting as per defined TAT (Turnaround Time).

- Participate in internal quality control and quality assurance activities.

- Ensure compliance with NABL/CAP and other applicable regulatory requirements.

- Participate in internal/external audits and support corrective and preventive actions.





- Guide and supervise technical staff in histopathology and cytology operations.

- Ensure adherence to laboratory SOPs, safety protocols and documentation requirements.

- Participate in case discussions and provide technical guidance to clinicians and laboratory teams.

- Contribute to the development and revision of SOPs, quality documents and reporting formats.

- Support training and competency assessment of laboratory personnel.

Preferred candidate profile

- Relevant experience in Histopathology and Cytology reporting in a diagnostic laboratory/hospital.

- Experience in IHC, special stains and frozen section would be an added advantage.

- Exposure to NABL/CAP accreditation and quality management systems preferred.
