Role Description The HIMS Engineer role at Kensara is a full time, on-site position based in Indore. The HIMS Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining health information management systems that align with DPDPA compliance requirements and Kensara’s AI-driven platform. Day-to-day tasks may include configuring and integrating HIMS modules, ensuring secure data flows, collaborating with privacy professionals and product teams, and troubleshooting system issues to maintain high availability and performance.

The role involves working closely with clients and internal stakeholders to capture requirements, optimize workflows,



and support audits or compliance reviews. The HIMS Engineer will also contribute to documentation, process improvements, and best practices for secure and compliant handling of health-related data.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of health information management systems (HIMS) and healthcare data workflows, including system configuration and integration.
- Experience with databases and data modeling, particularly for health or personal data; familiarity with data security, access controls, and encryption practices.
- Knowledge of compliance or regulatory frameworks related to data protection; exposure to DPDPA, healthcare regulations, or similar standards is an advantage.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting application and infrastructure issues, working with engineering or IT teams to resolve system performance and reliability problems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, capture technical and business requirements, and translate them into system design and workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation and process improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field; relevant certifications in health IT or data security are a plus.
- Comfort working on-site in Indore and engaging directly with clients or internal stakeholders in a quick-moving, compliance-focused environment.
