HIL Testing Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) Testing Engineer with robust expertise in automotive validation, automation, and embedded systems testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing, executing, and maintaining HIL test setups for automotive ECUs, ensuring compliance with quality and functional safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, execute, and maintain HIL test cases for automotive ECUs and vehicle functions.
- Configure and operate HIL test benches using tools such as dSPACE, Vector VT System, NI PXI, or equivalent platforms.
- Create and execute automated test scripts using Python, CAPL, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar technologies.
- Analyze system requirements and derive test cases for verification and validation activities.
- Perform integration, regression, functional, and system-level testing.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues identified during HIL testing and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
- Generate test reports,



defect reports, and validation documentation.
- Participate in requirement reviews and test strategy planning.
- Support continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and validation processes.
- Ensure adherence to Automotive SPICE, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), and quality standards.

Required Skills
- 5 to 8 years of experience in HIL Testing within the automotive domain.
- Strong hands-on experience with dSPACE, Vector CANoe/CANalyzer, VT System, or similar HIL platforms.
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, UDS Diagnostics protocols.
- Experience in test automation using CAPL, Python, MATLAB/Simulink.
- Understanding of ECU architecture, embedded systems, and automotive networks.
- Experience in test case development, execution, and defect management.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, DOORS, Polarion, ETAS INCA is preferred.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills.
