Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai for the position of Head of Human Resources at Kokan NGO India. The Head of Human Resources will lead and manage the organization’s HR strategies and operations, ensuring alignment with its inclusive mission, organizational goals, and long-term growth. The role involves overseeing recruitment and workforce planning across departments, driving employee engagement, retention,



performance management, and succession planning, while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities also include managing onboarding, induction, grievance handling, employee relations, HR operations, reporting, compliance, and policy implementation, along with overseeing KPI/KRA tracking and appraisal processes. The position requires close collaboration with management on strategic HR initiatives, talent development, and staff growth, while ensuring compliance with labor laws and supporting organizational excellence.

Qualification & Experience:

MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or an equivalent qualification with 5+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition and HR Operations within the relevant industry. Candidates should possess solid leadership, communication, interpersonal, and people management skills, along with hands-on experience in recruitment portals and HR systems. Additional certifications or qualifications in HR management, labor laws, organizational development, or talent management will be considered an added advantage.
