About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Barista to join our specialty café team. The ideal candidate should have solid knowledge of specialty coffee, excellent bar skills, and the ability to manage and train a barista team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality espresso-based and specialty coffee beverages.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and coffee equipment.
- Set and maintain coffee recipes, standards, and brewing parameters.
- Train and supervise junior baristas.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and beverage quality.
- Handle coffee opening and closing procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and organization of the coffee bar.
- Manage coffee inventory, wastage, and daily requirements.
- Assist with menu development and new beverage creation.
- Ensure excellent customer service and a premium café experience.
- Follow café SOPs and maintain food safety standards.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience as a Barista, preferably in a specialty or premium café.
- Strong knowledge of espresso, milk steaming, latte art, and brewing methods.
- Experience with V60, pour-over, cold brew, and other manual brewing methods is preferred.
- Positive communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to train and manage junior staff.
- Passion for coffee and willingness to learn and improve.
