Role Summary

Were seeking a DevOps tools migration expert specializing in largescale orchestration, tools and repository modernization initiatives. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the endtoend migration from XL Release to Harness, ensuring seamless pipeline transition, aligning with enterprise standards. Youll adhere with migration roadmap, build reusable frameworks, develop automation and partner closely with engineering and platform teams to operationalize Harness across the organization

Key Responsibilities

1) DevOps Tooling Migration Expertise

- Serve as the primary subject matter expert for migrating XL Release pipelines to Harness, leading the full lifecycle from assessment to cutover.
- Experience in handling legacy XL Release orchestrations, workflows, approvals, and dependencies; design equivalent or enhanced Harness pipelines, templates, triggers, and governance models.
- Use migration tooling and automation scripts to execute large-scale orchestration, integration with CI/CD workflow transformation.
- Stay updated on Harness platform enhancements, security features, roadmap items, and integration capabilities; maintain accurate guidance and documentation.

2) DevOps Repository Modernization

- Lead the enterprise migration of Bitbucket repositories, projects, pipelines, and permissions to GitHub, ensuring minimal disruption to product teams.
- Analyze existing Bitbucket configurations (branching strategies, access models, pipelines) and define optimized GitHub repository structures, branch protection rules,



and GitHub Actions workflows.
- Develop detailed migration playbooks, runbooks, pipeline translation guides (Bitbucket Pipelines - GitHub Actions), and versioncontrol best practices.

3) Migration Enablement, Training & Upskilling

- Build and deliver hands-on enablement programs for both Harness and GitHub migrations, including workshops, sandbox sessions, labs, and office hours
- Create comprehensive documentation such as templates, checklists, quick-start guides, pipeline patterns, migration scorecards, and role-specific learning paths.
- Establish continuous feedback loops to refine training materials and identify needs for automation, templates.

4) Insights, Governance & Continuous Improvement

- Define and manage KPIs for both migration programspipeline conversion rates, repository migration progress, workflow success rates, stability metrics, platform adoption, and security posture improvements.
- Analyze platform usage, workflow efficiency, deployment patterns, and error hotspots to recommend optimizations.
- Establish and enforce governance frameworks around GitHub repository hygiene, branching standards, policy enforcement, Harness pipeline security, and compliancedriven workflows

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years in DevOps engineering,



platform migration, CI/CD modernization, or tooling ownership
- Hands-on experience with Harness, XL Release, GitHub, and Bitbucket, including pipeline migration, workflow redesign, and repository governance.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to refine training materials, provide training sessions and prepare documentations.
- Experience designing and delivering technical enablementworkshops, labs, migration guides, and team onboarding programs

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience leading large-scale DevOps or CI/CD transformation initiatives, tool consolidation, or enterprise migration programs.
- Knowledge of GitHub Actions, Harness governance, security best practices, and version-control standards.
- Familiarity with analytics/reporting tools (Power BI, dashboards, platform usage insights) for migration tracking and adoption metrics.
- Proven ability to work across engineering, security, platform, and business teams, driving alignment and adoption.
