Role Description We're looking for someone who can bridge the gap between hardware environments and software deployment, helping us run software reliably across different infrastructures (on-prem servers, cloud, varying hardware specs) and is easy to configure, deploy, and support at scale.

What you'll do:
-Assess hardware requirements (CPU, memory, storage)
-Set up and tune deployment settings (on-prem and cloud) so the software runs efficiently on different hardware profiles
-Diagnose performance bottlenecks that trace back to hardware/OS/setting configuration rather than application logic




-Build repeatable deployment/configuration playbooks so the product can be installed and scaled with minimal friction
-Work closely with the software team to flag where hardware constraints should shape product/architecture decisions.
What we're looking for:
-Solid understanding of computer architecture, CPU, memory, storage, networking, and how these affect application performance
-Experience configuring and tuning servers/workstations for data-intensive or compute-heavy software (not just general IT support)
-Comfortable with both Windows and Linux environments; cloud infrastructure experience (Azure/AWS) is a plus
-Some exposure to how software actually consumes hardware resources (e.g. why a database engine or batch-processing job is slow), you need to understand what the software is asking of the hardware

Background could come from systems engineering, IT infrastructure, DevOps, or even a hardware engineering role with robust software-adjacent exposure.
