Introduction

We are looking for a Senior Golang Operations &

- Support Engineer to join our engineering team and play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our scalable backend infrastructure. This is a unique chance to balance hands-on development with operational excellence, taking ownership of both incident management and platform reliability. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers and help establish technical standards for our infrastructure practices.

Responsibilities

- Lead on-call responsibilities: Be part of the 24x7 on-call rotation (approximately one week every two months) and take ownership of PagerDuty alerts and incident triage

- Manage incidents effectively: Join bridge calls, actively participate in incident analysis and resolution and ensure proper handover of pending items to the next on-call engineer

- Communicate proactively: Provide timely status updates to stakeholders during incidents and ensure closure of action items with clear follow-up

- Balance development and operations: Work on feature development and infrastructure improvements while maintaining operational responsibilities and keeping systems running smoothly

- Establish technical standards: Define and uphold coding standards, deployment procedures and incident response protocols for the team

- Mentor team members: Guide junior engineers on application architecture, troubleshooting methodologies and incident response best practices

- Contribute to infrastructure improvements: Design and implement automation, monitoring and alerting strategies to reduce manual overhead and improve system reliability

- Perform root cause analysis: Investigate production issues and implement long-term fixes to prevent recurrence

Requirements





- 5-8 years of professional experience with at least 2-3 years in operations/support

- Expert-level proficiency in Golang - comfortable designing and maintaining production microservices and backend systems

- Strong operational discipline: Experience with incident management, on-call rotations and PagerDuty or similar alerting platforms

- Proven troubleshooting skills: Ability to diagnose issues quickly, perform root cause analysis and implement lasting solutions

- Excellent communication: Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders and document incidents thoroughly

- Full-stack backend competence: Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL or similar), REST APIs and distributed systems

- Infrastructure and deployment knowledge: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes (or similar orchestration), CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms like AWS or similar

- Agile and collaborative mindset: Experience working in Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning and collaborating across engineering practices
