Position Summary

- The General Manager Engineering Power Electronics leads a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design, development & support of

power electronic products, including AC/DC &

• DC/DC Converters, Power Supplies, & related components.

- This role ensures technical excellence, drives innovation, & supports manufacturing & quality objectives to meet customer & business to meet quality,
- budget, & timeline goals.
- Define technical roadmaps, optimize manufacturing processes & mentor staff to drive product innovation & performance from conception to launch requirements.

Qualification &

• Experience

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
- 20+ years of experience in Power Electronics Design &

• Development, with at least 10 years in a leadership or management role.

- Proven track record in developing Power Supplies, Converters, or related products for Industrial, Medical, Automotive or Telecom applications.
- Expertise in Analog &

• Digital Circuit Design, Magnetics, Thermal Management, &

• EMC/EMI Compliance.

- Proficient in design &

• Simulation Tools (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB, Altium, CAD).

- Robust Project Management, leadership, & communication skills.
- Experience with regulatory compliance & product certification .
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes for Electronic Assemblies (SMT, through-hole, testing).
- Lean , Six Sigma, PMP, or similar certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead & manage the power electronics engineering team,



including recruitment, mentoring, & performance management.
- Oversee the design, development, & validation of power electronic products, ensuring compliance with industry standards (UL, IEC, CE , RoHS, etc.) &
- customer specifications.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, & product management to ensure seamless product development &
- launch.
- Work closely with Global engineering team to learn & implement best engineering tools & practices
- Drive technical innovation in power conversion, efficiency, thermal Management & miniaturization.
- Develop & manage project plans, budgets & resource allocation to meet milestones & deliverables.
- Ensure robust design practices using simulation, modeling, & prototyping (e.g., SPICE, MATLAB, Altium Designer).
- Support Root Cause Analysis & resolution of technical issues in production & field returns.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies, standards & competitive landscape in power electronics.
- Prepare technical documentation including design specifications, test plans, compliance reports.
- Collaborate with customers & sales teams to define requirements & provide technical support for business development.
