Role & responsibilities

- Diagnose and manage patients with gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.

- Conduct outpatient consultations and provide appropriate treatment plans.

- Perform and interpret relevant diagnostic procedures, including GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and other gastroenterology procedures, as applicable.

- Manage emergency gastroenterology cases and provide timely clinical intervention.

- Coordinate with other specialists and departments for multidisciplinary patient care.

- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.

- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, clinical standards, and patient safety practices.

- Provide counselling and education to patients and their attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.

- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

- MD/DNB in General Medicine with DM/DNB in Gastroenterology.

- Valid Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC) registration.

- Relevant fellowship/certification in Gastroenterology or Endoscopy will be an added advantage.
