Game Security Engineer

Location: Surat (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled Game Security Engineer to strengthen the security of our mobile games and backend services. This role is ideal for someone passionate about reverse engineering, Android internals, anti-cheat systems, and identifying vulnerabilities before malicious actors do.

You will work closely with game developers, backend engineers, and LiveOps teams to analyze threats, design security mechanisms, investigate exploits, and build tools that improve the overall resilience of our games against cheating, tampering, and unauthorized modifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze Android game binaries to identify vulnerabilities, security weaknesses, and potential exploitation vectors.
- Reverse engineer Unity IL2CPP-based games to understand game logic, native code execution, and attack surfaces.
- Research, design, and improve anti-cheat systems for Android games.
- Perform static and dynamic analysis using industry-standard reverse engineering tools.
- Investigate game modifications, memory hacks, injection techniques, and runtime manipulation.
- Develop detection mechanisms for rooted devices, debuggers, emulators, hooking frameworks, and code tampering.
- Perform security assessments of backend APIs, authorization mechanisms, and business logic.
- Analyze network traffic to identify protocol vulnerabilities, replay attacks, packet manipulation, and unauthorized communication.
- Build internal automation tools for security analysis, reverse engineering, and vulnerability detection.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement secure coding practices and security-by-design principles.
- Document vulnerabilities, proof-of-concepts, mitigation strategies, and security recommendations.
- Stay up to date with the latest game hacking techniques, Android security research, and anti-cheat technologies.

Required Technical Skills Android Security & Internals





- Strong understanding of Android Internals.
- Android Runtime (ART)
- Application Lifecycle
- Binder IPC
- JNI (Java Native Interface)
- Native library loading and execution

Reverse Engineering

- Hands-on experience with:
- JADX
- Ghidra
- IDA Pro
- Static and dynamic binary analysis
- Malware or game binary analysis is a plus.

ARM64 Architecture

- Strong understanding of ARM64 Assembly.
- Function tracing.
- Calling conventions.
- Memory layout.
- Register usage.
- Stack analysis.

Native Development

- Strong C/C++ programming skills.
- Experience developing and debugging native libraries.
- JNI integration and debugging.
- Native memory management.

Unity Security

- Unity IL2CPP architecture.
- IL2CPP metadata analysis.
- Native Unity game reversing.
- Game binary inspection.
- Understanding of Unity asset protection techniques.

Dynamic Instrumentation

- Experience with:
- Frida
- Runtime hooking
- Function interception
- Memory inspection
- Energetic analysis workflows

Network Security

- Strong understanding of:
- HTTP/HTTPS
- TCP/UDP
- WebSockets
- Protobuf
- Packet inspection
- Traffic interception
- Experience using tools such as Burp Suite, Charles Proxy, Wireshark, or similar is preferred.

Backend Security Testing

- API security testing
- Authentication & authorization testing
- Business logic validation
- Session management
- Request manipulation
- Rate limiting assessment
- Exploit validation

Python Development

- Python scripting for:
- Automation
- Reverse engineering utilities
- Binary parsing
- Security tooling
- Data analysis




- Internal developer tools

Anti-Cheat Research

- Research modern cheating techniques.
- Analyze bypass methods.
- Investigate memory editing, code injection, emulator detection bypasses, and runtime manipulation.
- Design detection and prevention mechanisms.
- Evaluate third-party anti-cheat technologies where applicable.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3–6+ years of experience in Android security, reverse engineering, game security, or offensive security.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand low-level native code.
- Experience securing mobile applications or games is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Unity mobile games.
- Familiarity with Android kernel and system internals.
- Knowledge of cryptography fundamentals and secure communication protocols.
- Experience with Linux development environments.
- Understanding of mobile application hardening techniques.
- Familiarity with CI/CD security testing pipelines.
- Experience participating in security research, CTFs, or vulnerability disclosure programs.
- Knowledge of anti-tamper and code obfuscation techniques.

- Collaborate with experienced engineers across gameplay, backend, and infrastructure teams.
- Shape the security architecture of current and future game titles.
