Role & responsibilities

Understand business and functional requirements and identify relevant test scenarios.

Prepare and execute test cases and test scenarios based on requirements.

Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Execute test cases across different application modules and environments.

Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

Perform defect retesting and regression testing after fixes.

Maintain test execution results and provide regular testing status updates.

Participate in requirement discussions and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Work closely with developers, business analysts, and senior QA engineers to understand and resolve issues.

Support UAT and release validation activities.

Maintain QA documentation and testing artifacts.

Contribute to improving test coverage and overall product quality

Preferred candidate profile

12 years of hands-on experience in Functional / Manual Testing.

Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.

Knowledge of test case design, test execution, defect reporting, and defect lifecycle.

Understanding of functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, and end-to-end testing.

Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps,



or similar tools.

Basic understanding of API testing and tools such as Postman is preferred.

Basic knowledge of SQL/database validation is preferred.

Positive analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Value-Added Skills

OTT / Digital Streaming

Exposure to OTT, streaming, media, or digital entertainment applications.

Basic understanding of streaming workflows such as content browsing, search, playback, subscriptions, user profiles, and content availability.

Exposure to testing applications across Web, Mobile, Smart TV, Android TV, Fire TV, Roku, or similar platforms is an advantage.

Basic understanding of concepts such as buffering, playback, DRM, and video quality is a plus.

AI / GenAI

Exposure to AI/GenAI applications or AI-assisted testing tools.

Experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI tools for testing or productivity.

Understanding of using AI for test case generation, test data creation, test documentation, or defect analysis is a plus.

Basic awareness of AI application testing concepts such as prompt validation, response accuracy, consistency, and hallucination checks is an advantage.
