Full-Stack AI Engineer —Platform (SAP & Data Integration Focus)

About The Role

We're hiring a full-stack AI engineer to lead the data and integration backbone of an Agentic AI platform’s client deployments, while remaining equally capable of building frontend and backend features when needed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the full lifecycle of a deployment — from wiring up a client's SAP/Oracle system, to building the data lake, to shipping the agent-facing product on top of it.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead ERP integration: Design and build the integration layer connecting platform to the client's SAP (via BTP/CPI, OData services like MM_PUR_PO_MAINT_SRV, API_BUSINESS_PARTNER) or Oracle (via OIC) environment.
- Build the data lake foundation: Architect and implement the client's data warehouse (BigQuery/Synapse), historical data ingestion pipelines, and the procurement ontology (part-supplier-cost-contract relationships).
- Build backend services: Develop APIs and services that expose cleansed, governed data to platform's agents without ever exposing agents to direct ERP access.
- Contribute to frontend build: Build and maintain UI components and dashboards in React/TypeScript as needed across sprints.
- Deploy and configure agents: Set up Agents and related AI workflows to consume the integrated data layer, including prompt design and output validation.
- Ensure compliance with client data policy:



Implement the client's required data governance model — human-in-the-loop write-back gates, audit trails, and access controls — for every integration built.
- Support go-live and post-launch stabilization: Work directly with client stakeholders through UAT, issue triage, and steady-state handover.

Skills Required Skills & Experience

- 5 years total qualified experience in software/data engineering
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with AI/LLM-based systems or applied ML projects
- Strong, demonstrable experience integrating with SAP (OData/RFC/BAPI, BTP Integration Suite) or Oracle (OIC, Fusion REST/FBDI)
- Solid experience building cloud data pipelines — BigQuery/Synapse, dbt, Airflow, or equivalent ETL tooling
- Backend development proficiency in Python or Node.js, with REST/GraphQL API design experience
- Working frontend skills in React/TypeScript — comfortable contributing to UI work, even if not the primary focus
- Understanding of vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation patterns
- Familiarity with cloud deployment (GCP or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code basics

Nice to Have

- Experience with SAP MM/PM modules or Oracle Procurement Cloud/EAM specifically
- Prior exposure to procurement, MRO, or manufacturing supply chain data
- Experience with Azure Synapse Spark, Databricks, or Google Dataflow
- Consulting/client-delivery background with direct stakeholder management experience

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar, advanced degree preferred
